The campaign aims to raise one million Nepali Rupees (approx. $8,500) in Nepal and $10,000 from around the world. Within Nepal, NYC will be partnering with various digital wallets to raise donations domestically, and using the Go Fund Me platform to raise donations internationally.
The second wave of the Covid19 pandemic has devastated Nepal. With an already fragile healthcare system and an overwhelmed government, the nation is on the brink of collapse. Hospitals are operating above capacity, oxygen supplies have run out, and crematoriums have been inundated. With the country in desperate need of whatever resources that can be made available, Nepal Youth Council is stepping up, raising funds to shore up the health system to help people now!
